Cabbage palm is a stately and robust palm tree that grows up to 50 feet tall. it is native to Florida's coasts and native landscapes. Growing in upland hardwoods, flatwoods, swamps, wet prairies, marshes and tropical hammocks it is trully the native to Florida palm tree. It is only one of all the Florida trees that represents the Sunshine State. Slash Pine and longleaf pine were also contenders to represent the Florida state.
